Dr. Zilong He

Zilong HE is an AI and digital transformation expert at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). His work focuses on supporting governments and industry stakeholders in leveraging artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to advance sustainable industrial development.
He leads assessments of digital maturity and helps identify transformation pathways for key industrial sectors. His work also includes supporting pilot initiatives that apply AI and advanced digital technologies to enhance productivity, accelerate industrial upgrading, and enable the green transition.
Zilong HE provides guidance on AI governance, responsible technology adoption, and data-driven policy frameworks to strengthen the readiness of UNIDO member states for digital transformation. He also contributes to the development of UNIDO’s Centre of Excellence, which aims to connect global innovation ecosystems with advanced manufacturing and industrial development.
