Dr. Ahmed Hassan Ali Abdelwahab is an Egyptian agricultural researcher at the Plant Protection Research Institute (PPRI), part of the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) in Egypt. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Science from a joint programme between Mansoura University and Kansas State University and a diploma in Data Science and AI. His research focuses on applying AI, machine learning, and computer vision to sustainable agriculture, early pest detection, and precision farming. With expertise in biological and chemical pest control, insect behaviour, and agricultural modelling, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Abdelwahab is also active in international research networks, including WAITRO, and leads the ARC team’s collaboration with WAITRO, promoting innovation at the intersection of agriculture and technology.
