Participants will gain practical insights into how WAITRO collaborations can lead to successful partnerships, funded projects, and real research impact. The presenters from TISTR will showcase two examples of how international networking and collaboration within WAITRO can turn research ideas into concrete projects and long-term partnerships. Drawing on TISTR’s experience with the SOILGUARD Project under Horizon 2020 and a WAITRO Innovation Award project with BRIN Indonesia, the presentations will illustrate different pathways from identifying shared research challenges and finding the right partners to proposal development, funding acquisition and project implementation.
The session will highlight how both large-scale international funding and smaller seed-funding opportunities can enable research collaboration, strengthen trust between institutions and create lasting impact across organizations and regions.
